A little history of Verdi cinemas:

Located in the heart of Barcelona's Grácia neighborhood, the Verdi cinema is part of the history of the city. Its facilities located on the street of the same name date back to 1888 when the Promotion for the Protection of Grácia was established in the year In 1890, the construction of a venue for the world of entertainment began, which was inaugurated in 1893 with the participation of the Círculo Moratín theater group, and already in the first years of the 20th century the room known then as Teatro Moratín, was used for the exhibition of films.

 

Starting in 1932 and in full political-social whirlwind, the property passed through different entities and underwent various name changes, Cine Ateneo (1932), Cine Trébol (1933) to finally receive the name Cine Verdi in 1935, which lasted until today.
